Lakeside Refuse Refund Policy

At Lakeside Refuse, we value our customers and strive to provide reliable, friendly weekly trash service. We understand that situations may arise where a refund is requested. The following policy outlines how we handle refunds and service credits:

1. Service Satisfaction
If you experience a missed pickup or service issue, please contact us within 48 hours so we can resolve the problem promptly. In most cases, we’ll schedule a return pickup or apply a service credit to your next billing cycle.

2. Prepaid Services

  • For customers who prepay for service (monthly, quarterly):

  • Refunds are available only for unused full weeks of service if service is canceled in advance.

  • Partial weeks of service are not refundable once collection has occurred.

  • A small processing fee (up to $10) may be deducted from refunded amounts to cover administrative costs.


3. Service Cancellation
To cancel your service, please contact us at least 7 days before your next scheduled pickup. Refunds or credits will be issued for any unused, prepaid service beyond that date.

4. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refund:

  • One-time or same-day pickups

  • Bulk item pickups

  • Missed service reports made after 48 hours

  • Accounts with outstanding balances


5. How to Request a Refund

Lakeside Refuse Terms of Service

1. Service Overview
Lakeside Refuse provides residential and commercial waste management services including trash pickup, recycling, large item disposal, and specialty pickups. By signing up for service, customers agree to the terms set forth in this document.


2. Service Eligibility

  • Service is available only within designated Lakeside Refuse service areas.

  • Customers must provide accurate and complete account information including service address, contact details, and billing method.

  • Waste must be placed at the designated collection location by the scheduled pickup time.


3. Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure trash and recycling are properly bagged, bundled, or contained according to Lakeside Refuse guidelines.

  • Keep containers accessible and free from obstruction on collection days.

  • Refrain from placing hazardous materials, chemicals, or items prohibited by law in Lakeside Refuse containers.

  • Notify Lakeside Refuse promptly of changes to account information, service needs, or billing details.

4. Billing & Payments

  • Service is billed monthly in advance. Payment is due on the invoice due date.

  • Late payments may result in service suspension until the account is brought current.

  • Past due balances are subject to late fees as outlined on the customer invoice.

  • Lakeside Refuse reserves the right to adjust service rates with notice to customers.


5. Cancellations & Changes

  • Customers may cancel service by providing at least 14 days’ notice.

  • Containers provided by Lakeside Refuse must be returned in good condition upon cancellation. Replacement or damage fees may apply.

  • Service changes (upgrades, downgrades, temporary suspension) must be requested at least 7 days prior to the next billing cycle.


6. Liability & Limitations

  • Lakeside Refuse is not liable for damage to items improperly placed for collection, or for waste not conforming to service guidelines.

  • Service delays or missed pickups due to inclement weather, unsafe conditions, or factors outside of Lakeside Refuse’ control will be rescheduled as reasonably possible.

  • Lakeside Refuse’ liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid by the customer for service in the billing period in which the claim arises.


7. Acceptable Use

  • Containers provided remain the property of Lakeside Refuse and are intended for use solely with the subscribed service.

  • Unauthorized use of containers or disposal of prohibited items may result in additional charges or termination of service.


8. Privacy & Communication

  • Customer information is used only to provide and improve service, manage billing, and communicate service updates.

  • By enrolling, customers consent to receive service-related communications via phone, email, or SMS.

  • Customers may opt out of marketing communications at any time.


9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the (State or County)
